In spring 2020 I was given the opportunity to take a course at Northwest Missouri State University called Knacktive. Knacktive is a selective, advanced, undergraduate, student educational experience incorporating through actual client interaction, the creative demands and intense teamwork atmosphere of a technology-oriented,
professional marketing communications agency.

Our client was Farmers Mutual Insurance of Nodaway county.  They want to start appealing to a younger generation because their current clientele was getting older.  The company was willing to change anything and everything.  My team decided on a new name and a new logo.
We changed the name to Homegrown Mutual Insurance.  The name was chosen because most people who are looking for insurance ask for family advice and we want the company to be passed down from generation to generation.
The logo was designed to be simple, easy to read, and easy to replicate.  The type is the dark blue and blue is seen as a trusting and dependable color.  The roof is the yellow which is friendly and optimistic, and the chimney is green which is peaceful and growth.

I was also in charge of research for social media.  And it was decided that Homegrown Mutual needed a Facebook page and also needed to take advantage of Facebook ads.
